Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences offers three degree pathways of innovative BSN programs - accelerated, basic, and completion - that combine interactive classroom learning and extensive patient contact.

BSN-Accelerated

Four-Semester Degree Pathway Options

An accelerated nursing degree pathway is a fast-track nursing degree option for prospects with a previous degree or healthcare experience that allows students to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN-A) more quickly than in a traditional program.

    BSN-Accelerated with previous Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure Advanced Standing degree pathway students/applicants/prospects are eligible to receive advanced standing credit for NUR 330 and NUR 332 upon successful completion of the NLN Nursing Acceleration Challenge Examination.

  • Military Medic
    BSN-Accelerated Military Medic
    Should add they receive 5 hours of advanced standing credit upon successful completion of a lab exam for NUR334.

BSN-A Admission Requirements

A baccalaureate or higher degree in a non-nursing discipline OR two years of healthcare experience 

Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale 

Completion of all required prerequisite general education courses with a “C” (2.0) or above 

  • Anatomy and Physiology I with lab-4 credits 
  • Anatomy and Physiology II with lab-4 credits 
  • Human Growth and Development-3 credits 
  • Medical Terminology-2 or 3 credits 
  • Microbiology with lab-4 credits 
  • Nutrition-3 credits 
  • Statistics-3 credits 

Applicants who do not hold a bachelor’s degree must also have completed the following courses prior to the first semester of the program: 

  • Anthropology-3 credits 
  • College Algebra-3 credits 
  • English Composition I-3 credits

BSN-A Application Materials

The BSN-Accelerated program begins in the summer semester.

Required application materials can be submitted as they are completed. All materials must be received before admission consideration. Review of completed applicant files requires 3 to 4 weeks.

Five, Six, Nine-Semester Degree Pathway Options

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing-Basic (BSN-B) is a traditional option that allows a student who has completed all general education courses required for the baccalaureate nursing program to complete the nursing courses over five, six, or eight semesters. The diverse basic program combines both didactic and clinical nursing experiences.

Degree Pathway Options

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion (BSN-C) is an online option that provides advanced education for the graduate of an associate degree or diploma nursing program who has passed the NCLEX-RN and already has a nursing license. Basic knowledge and skills at the Associate of Science level are built upon and expanded in the BSN-C program option. The program of study combines didactic, lab, and clinical nursing experiences and general education courses. Students may pursue the BSN-C in a full-time or part-time capacity. The program is designed for completion in two years when taken in a full-time capacity.
